Friendly Faces at the Office

Treating You Like Family

Karls Family Dentistry was established in 1970 by Dr. Stanley Karls. After owning and operating the practice for more than 40 years, he welcomed his son, Dr. Matthew Karls, to the family practice in 2010. In 2018, we were delighted to have Dr. Matt’s wife, Dr. Sarah Karls join Karls Family Dentistry. The pair continue to own and operate the family practice and look forward to many more years to come. Each doctor is dedicated to providing the best possible care tailored to their patients’ lives.

Our New Office

We are proud to welcome you to our dental home. Our practice is family-owned-and -operated, and we have been in our current for over 50 years. In order to give our patients and team the best possible dental experience, we completed a significant expansion and remodel of our building.

We were honored to have won awards including the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin Projects of Distinction and the Orchid award for Waunakee. The Orchid award is presented to a Chamber of Commerce Member business that completed a substantial redevelopment façade building project within the last year, contributing to the promotion of commerce, economic development, and the overall beautification of the Waunakee/Westport area.

With renovations completed in 2021, we have a space that feels more like home, rather than a traditional dental office. Drs. Matt & Sarah had goals of improving handicap accessibility with larger hallways, a parking lot, and larger treatment rooms. Another goal was to utilize as much natural light as possible throughout the entire building, to have a sense of openness and not feeling like you are in a typical dental office. We are all so grateful to be in such a beautiful building that is truly like a second home to us, and as a result, we have elevated our already wonderful family-feel of our practice.
